Aephanemer has an incredible sense of what makes a melody work in a multitude of ways. Great guitarwork, amazing balance between the different instruments and impeccable pacing makes this album a joy to listen to.
You can feel the effort and soul put into it and it oozes charm from every waveform.

It is interesting how Aephaemer sounds like symphonic, progressive power metal when they make an instrumental album, as this album is. (Their second album Memento Mori also has an instrumental version of all the songs in the download). But when you add vocals (not present here, but they are on Memento Mori), they have that Gothenburg melodic death sound. Either way, they make some over-the-top metal with solos and harmonized guitars that really shred.

Aephanemer is an impressive melodic death metal band. When I listened to it for the first time I was immediately amazed by its sound both technical and emotional. I can tell a strong influence of Gothenburg metal. You will certainly enjoy "Know Thyself" if you like In Flames, Dark Tranquility or At The Gates.

No words for this album. Every song is just Brilliant. The instrumentation is amazing. The tone is perfection to my ears. Killer guitar riffs and Kick ass beats.
